The oldest and most important wooden building in Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, built 630 years ago by the Cistercian monks of Waverley Abbey.

Events

We hold Open Days on Sundays five times a year (April to August) as well the popular Heritage Open Days that take place this year on September 12th and 13th.

Heritage Weekend: September 12th and 13th

The Barn will be open from 10 am until 5 pm. There will also be a cafe open all day in the Village Hall, tours of Wanborough and the church, and historical talks in the Barn given by the Secret WW2 Learning Network about the SOE Agents who were trained at Wanborough Manor before being dropped into occupied France during the Second World War.

Weddings

The Great Barn is an excellent wedding venue.
